Course Description

Earthquakes radiate seismic waves that shake the ground. Seismology is the subject that studies wave generation and propagation in the Earth. This course will cover key concepts of stress-strain relation for elastic media, seismic wave equation, ray theory, surface wave, Earth’s oscillation, and earthquake source theory.  If you are interested in the Earth and waves, welcome to join us in EAS-E490 Seismology!
