From Dr. Shelby Rader: Earth on the Rocks will feature weekly episodes with a new guest from the department, highlighting some of the important work they are doing but also getting to know the person behind the science over drinks. Now may be as important a time as any to show the public what we do.
You can find Earth on the Rocks on all major podcasting platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, etc.) with new episodes releasing each Friday morning at 9am EST.
A “preview” episode is currently available with our first real episode dropping 11/08, featuring Dr. Andrea Stevens Goddard. Please check it out and spread the word! I’m always happy to hear feedback, too, both good and bad. My goal here is to show how interesting and passionate the folks in our department are, which is part of why I love being here as much as I do.
I also could not have done this without lots of help from some really great folks, many of them students who have just done a tremendous job. Earth on the Rocks is produced by Cari Metz with artwork provided by Connor Leimgruber.
Technical recordings are managed by Kate Crum and Betsy Leijas. Funding for this podcast was provided by the National Science Foundation grant EAR-2422824.
