What I enjoyed most about the department was my professors and mentors. Not only were they kind and caring, but they also prepared me for the demands of graduate school. They believed in me, and I carry the lessons I learned from them every day. I am a second-year master’s student at IU Indianapolis studying under Dr. Catherine Macris. My research focuses on the chemical and mineralogical characteristics of lunar impact glass synthesized under varying temperature and temporal conditions.
