Our department participates in the College of Arts and Sciences’ Science Fest, an annual event that invites families, students, and community members to explore science on IU Bloomington’s campus.
A note from Elizabeth Sherrill: We extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped with Science Fest this year. We had fantastic weather and a never-ending crowd at all of our stations. We had two new events this year - Tree Time (developed by Owen Madsen) and Clouds, Tornadoes, and Pressure (developed by Ethan Steward and James Ryan). Both were a great success!
Thanks also to Sayan Das, and our faculty advisor, Cody Kirkpatrick!! Science Fest 2022 would not have been what it was without the hard work of Sayan and Cody!
Thank you to everyone who served as a setup or cleanup volunteer. Thank you to the people who spent time with the children and their families at the stations. Thank you to our station leaders for making sure all of the supplies and volunteers were organized. Thank you to Michael Hamburger and Terry Stigall, who are the reason why Make Your Own Earthquake is such a hit each year. Also, shoutout to Anupama Chandroth who designed this year's Science Fest t-shirts!
