SIRF houses three isotope ratio mass spectrometers (IRMS): two Thermo Delta V instruments and one Delta Q. We operate a range of continuous-flow inlets for the analysis of solid, liquid, and gas samples. Our inlets include two Flash Elemental Analyzers for solid samples (hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur), two Gas Bench units for carbonate minerals, waters, and air samples, and a Thermo Trace Ultra GC for compound-specific isotope analysis. One of the Delta V IRMS instruments is configured with variable volume dual-inlets for materials prepared off-line. 

SIRF includes equipment and lab space for standard sample pretreatments, including grinding, cleaning, treatment with acids and bleaches, and weighing.
