This fund provides loans to full-time Indiana University students majoring Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. The maximum loan to any student is five hundred dollars. The loans are provided without interest until one year after the recipient ceases to be a full-time student, at which time the interest rate will be four and one-half percent. The loan must be paid in full plus interest within five years after the student ceases to be a full-time student. The loan committee consists of the chair of the department and two members of the faculty appointed by the chair.
