Course Description

Understanding the geologic and geochemical controls on the formation, deposition, production, and use of Earth materials and resources. Earth resources include building materials, chemical minerals, industrial minerals, and metals, among others. Exploration and mining techniques as well as associated environmental issues and regulations are also discussed.
